The Archaic Mark, MS 972 has been digitized as a part of the Goodspeed New Testament Manuscripts Project and is currently available in test mode.
The original manuscript is quite small (11,5 x 8,5 cm), as can be see seen from this scale photograph. A professional freelance photographer photographed the Archaic Mark manuscript using a Kodak DCS Pro 14n Digital Camera which will provide resolution as high as 4,536 x 3,024 pixels. Utilizing Kodak's Photo Desk software, library staff created master files in Tiff format from the camera-produced DC RAW files, edited them in Adobe CS. The image was then converted using Zoomify software to allow zooming and panning at quick speeds over the Web.
